The most effective LSAT prep.
At a fraction of the cost.

When Daniel worked for 7Sage, they charged $200 for a single hour of tutoring. Here's how LSAT Defenders compares to the market.

7Sage (Tutoring)
1-on-1 tutoring through the major platform Daniel worked for
$200/hr
Kaplan (1-on-1)
Standard private tutoring from one of the largest LSAT brands
$200/hr
Blueprint
Live online LSAT courses from a major premium brand
$150–170/hr
🛡️ LSAT Defenders
12 hours/month of live instruction with Daniel — plus study guides, recorded library, community, and admissions advice
from $179/mo
💡

12 hours of live Defenders instruction at 7Sage's rate would cost $2,400. With Vanguard Plus, you get all of it — plus the study guide, recorded library, daily study plans, and admissions advice — for $229/month. That's over 90% off market rates.

Questions about the Vanguard? Here are the ones we hear most from prospective members.

Who teaches the sessions?

Daniel Arakawa teaches every single live session personally. This is not a pre-recorded course and there are no hired instructors — when you join the Vanguard, you get Daniel.

What's the difference between Basic and Plus?

Both include the weekly 2hr Q&A with Daniel, study guide, recorded library, daily study guides, and community access. Vanguard Plus adds the weekly 1hr Concept & Critical Analysis session and priority support — going from 8 to 12 hours of live instruction per month.

What does Vanguard Elite add?

Vanguard Elite includes everything in Vanguard Plus, plus typically 1hr/week of dedicated 1-on-1 tutoring with a Defenders-trained tutor — matched to your specific weak points, with a personalized study schedule mapped to your test date.

What is the money-back guarantee?

If your score doesn't improve after your first month in the Vanguard, you'll receive a full refund. No hoops to jump through. We're confident enough in the method to back it completely.

What score range does this work for?

All levels. Daniel has worked with students from 128 to 179. His methodology adapts to each student's unique learning style and starting point — regardless of educational background.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. All plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled before your next billing cycle. No contracts, no long-term commitments. We'd rather earn your loyalty than require it.
